Post Kitsune Kon Update

So I just finished up KitsuneKon this weekend and I gotta say, it's probably the best first Year Con I've ever been to. It felt like a really well established Convention already, despite a few organizational issues-- but that's pretty typical. So hats off to you Kitsune, I'll be returning next year with the Day-Glow Studio yet again <3

As far as things for Day-Glow went, sales were pretty good. My partner, of course always made a killing but I didn't do too bad either. We managed to afford registration for Geek.Kon, and pay off our Hotel room with our profits. My newly created Zelda hats went over really well for their test run. I sold out of green Link hats, and I sold out even faster of Green Link hats with the Navi faerie attached xD So those will definitely be making a come back for No Brand. I also managed to get a few possible orders, and commission for Mochi plushies so I'm pretty pumped about that. Thankfully I don't have to do much restocking of supplies for No Brand which is going to give me a LOT of time to work on Cosplay which I REALLY need.

My Hetalia panel went over really good too for pretty much pulling it out of my ass from Daisho Con. My studio partner had asked Chris Cason to appear for it and he replied stating if he had time he would love too. I didn't get my hopes up for attendance to the panel and Chris Cason appearing since it was at 10 am Saturday, but to my surprise we had about a fourth of the main programming room filled (which was huge). We had all the fancy microphones and water that was DELICIOUS. And then about halfway through the panel just as Sarah and I were running out of things to talk about she tells me we have a special guest with us and points over to the door. I look over to see Chris just chilling in a chair and freak out with happiness. Got a lot of compliments after the panel saying it was really good and that I was funny (yay). Chris definitely made the panel a win though. People had a lot of really good questions for him, and I think he really enjoyed that.

So I'm back home in Mad City now, relaxing for the day and probably going to hit up some cosplay work. I'd like to get both Niche (from Tegami Bachi) done, as well as Feme!America before No Brand Con. I will SO enter Niche in the cosplay contest if I complete her. That wig is gonna be a BITCH. Think I should also hack into Verneli much as possible so I can spend all the good, warm weather days working on Switzerland's Children's Day outfit for Fanime. (God help me) Here's to hoping my next blog update isn't so belated and lengthy xD Hope everyone else that attended Kitsune thought it was as great as I did!
